AFTER safety concerns were raised by residents during a regular community catch-up with Cr Brett Moller, Cairns Regional Council has installed new directional decals to several bridges in Division 1.
After safety concerns were raised by residents during a regular community catch-up with Cr Brett Moller, Cairns Regional Council has installed new directional decals to several bridges in Division 1.
Safety arrows have been installed to the Russell River and Lennon Creek bridges on Bramston Beach road and the Alice Creek bridge on Cartwright Road for improved road safety for road users.
Division 1 Councillor Brett Moller said the matter was raised with him by a community member in a recent ‘Councillor Chat’ session at Mirriwinni and he arranged for an inspection where a safety issue was identified, and the matter addressed.
“This is the value of grass roots feedback by being out and about in your community” commented Cr Moller.
