RE-OPENING of Botanica Café Bar Kitchen in Edge Hill
TROPICAL cuisine available for walk-in or at the push of a button.

Botanica Café Bar Kitchen have secured the highly skilled duo Daniel Crossman and Josh Garrad, with a combined 30 years experience in the culinary industry, to bring nourishing tropical dishes to Edge Hill and Cairns surrounds.
Within walking distance to the lush Cairns Botanic Gardens, Botanica Café Bar Kitchen is the idyllic setting to take a moment to nourish your body with wholesome, locally sourced food and unwind as you savour each tropical flavour.
Chef De Cuisine Daniel and Head Chef Joshua have masterfully curated a menu inspired by locally grown and sourced produce from Rusty’s Market and the Tablelands. This duo understands the importance of offering new selections on the menu paired with time-tested favourites to please a crowd.
There will be vegan and dairy-free options, with meat sourced from the Tablelands for those who are more of a carnivore at heart. Botanica has partnered with Wolf Lane to create tempting cocktails.
Botanica will be the first and only café in Cairns to offer Tablelands grown and roasted Jaques coffee for those who a need morning caffeine boost.
Botanica will have mouthwatering breakfast options for those early birds, including mango, pineapple, coconut, macadamia, and puffed grain bircher on oat milk. Customers can also find time-tested scrambled eggs on the menu but with a twist that will make you want a second helping, along with the healthiest potato hashes seasoned with local herbs that you most likely haven’t encountered.
Daniel Crossman and Joshua Garrad saw a gap in the food delivery market for nourishing food to be easily accessible. They didn’t want people to compromise their health because they were too busy or unable to dine in. Mr Crossman promises the food will be delectable whether you soak up the relaxed atmosphere at Botanica or order via an app.
“With Josh and I cooking in the kitchen, you can be guaranteed you’re going to get yummy, delicious food consistently,” Mr Crossman said.
The Chefs bonded over a love of fresh food, love for the area, and their creative approach to cooking.
“I’m looking forward to cooking alongside a good friend of mine and cooking really good tropical food,” Mr Crossman said.
Drawn back to Cairns because of the lifestyle Joshua Garrad, Head Chef, said he was looking forward to bringing fresh, healthy food to Edge Hill and all of Cairns.
“Now you can keep on track with healthy eating at the office or get out and enjoy our beautiful locations with a healthy takeaway,” Mr Garrad said.
Botanica Café Bar Kitchen is thrilled to have two of Cairns’ top Chefs working in their kitchen.
Open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week from 6:30 am until 2 pm.
