Local Restaurant Chosen As One Of 15 Most Loved For 2022
On Tuesday, DoorDash Australia unveiled its first annual awards list honouring the top 15 Most Loved All Star Restaurants for 2022.
A Cairns favourite, The Roti Shack, was chosen as one of the best for the year.
The restaurant partners on the list are good at their craft, reliable, top-rated by consumers, and exceptional at operations - fewer than 1% of restaurants on DoorDash qualified.
As consumer demand for delivery continues to grow, DoorDash created the Most Loved All Star list, which shines a spotlight on the merchants excelling at making consumers’ at-home dining experience remarkable.
General Manager of DoorDash Australia Rebecca Burrows said The Most Loved list celebrates the restaurants that offer the best service.
“DoorDash’s 2022 Most Loved All Stars list celebrates our local restaurants that go above and beyond for their customers’ online orders, time and time again,” Ms Burrows said.
“We’re excited to showcase these restaurants and the incredible experience they provide to their customers.
“Customers have recognised this exceptional service in their local communities, and we are so proud to shine a spotlight on the amazing work our neighbourhood restaurants are doing.”
Of the 15 winners, only one represented FNQ. The Roti Shack was chosen as one of the most beloved for their fantastic service, delicious food and wonderful reviews left by clients.
The Roti Shack is a family-owned business owned by locals Christina and David and specialises in traditional Caribbean takeaway food, Rotis.
Roti is a homemade flatbread, and it is used as a wrap for a mild curry. The restaurant offers a delicious and quick takeaway meal, but they have dine-in services for customers to enjoy.
The restaurant’s ingredients are freshly sourced, and the staff prepares everything on the premises, including the roti bread.
