Savannahlander badly damaged by vandals
Vandals have smashed dozens of windows on The Savannahlander tourist train.
According to their Facebook page: "The team back at the depot were pretty gutted when they turned up to work this morning".
"Our accessibility unit, 2053, has been absolutely pummeled by rocks overnight," the post said.
"We're all pretty damn angry about this.
"As a small business, this impacts us a lot. Not only is there a financial burden with repairs to all the windows but obviously this unit will have to be pulled out of service until those repairs are completed.
"Meaning that any passengers with accessibility needs will have to have their upcoming trip cancelled (if this affects you, you will be contacted in due course).
"If you have any information as to who is responsible for this, please contact the Queensland Police and quote this report number - QP2401489129."
It is also understood car rental and motor home hire businesses were also vandalised.
