School’s 100th birthday

ST Michael's School at Gordonvale celebrated its 100th anniversary celebrations last weekend. The festivities started with a special liturgy attended by past and present students, parents, teachers and principals on Wednesday last week.

Father Michael Szymanski presided with former parish priest Father Jude Ronayne joining the school from Ireland.  He also celebrated his 80th birthday. Students took part in Mercy Works activities to celebrate St Michael’s feast day on Wednesday afternoon last week.

The Jim Graham Rugby League Cup was played on Thursday last week and the Mary Mills Netball Carnival was last Friday.

A good old fashioned fete ended the 100th anniversary activities on Saturday last weekend.
