Temporary Bus Stop Relocation for Innisfail CBD Footpath Renewal
WITH THE commencement of the Innisfail Footpath Renewal project, the bus stop currently located outside the Bunnings car park will be temporarily relocated to allow renewal works to be undertaken on the 80 metre section of footpath.
As part of the footpath renewal works, the bus stop currently located at 116 Edith Street will be relocated to between 56-60 Ernest Street outside of The Great Flavour of India and Bunnings’ Storefront on Ernest Street.
This location has been identified to ensure buses will not need to detour and allow community members waiting for the bus to wait under shelter in inclement weather.
The temporary relocation of the bus stop will be required from Monday 12 April 2023 for a month, weather permitting.
Bus service providers TransLink, Premier and Greyhound have been advised of this change and will service the new bus stop accordingly.
This project is fully funded by Cassowary Coast Regional Council.
