From the beaches, rainforest, pristine waterways all the way to our tropical islands offshore. To a community who is connected, supportive and always ready to lend a helping hand. The Cassowary Coast region is a special part of the world and we want to share why our community loves the Cassowary Coast!

Share your photos and videos with us about why you love the Cassowary Coast and tag @cassowarycoastregionalcouncil or #cassowarycoast I love the aquatic centre, the Mission Beach Community Art Centre and the libraries.

Why we Love the Cassowary Coast

Many in the community worked hard for years to get these great local community spaces up and running and I am grateful we have people like that in our community.

I am grateful for C4 and Brettacorp and other rehabilitation and corridor creation teams farmers and land owners.

I am grateful for the national parks and marine parks especially the ones near Mission Beach which I have many hard working community members to be grateful to for their dedication and determination to protect and conserve for visitors, future generations and for the animals and plants that depend on enough areas being protected to survive.

I am also grateful for the sunrises - Amanda Kay Love our sunsets - Annette Swaine #cassowarycoast Love our wonderful tropical islands - Annette Swaine #cassowarycoast
